"The WWII Roundtable is a terrific group of heroes, historians, military history fans and I learn something new at every meeting. The buffet is delicious, too."
Pony Tail, Vietnam Veteran
"Each month there is a guest speaker or panel of speakers who give us a first-hand account of life during WWII. This is a worthwhile organization who wants to preserve American history."
Jack Eder, Indiana Historian
The Indianapolis World War II Roundtable was formed in 1987 and has grown to be one of the most active in the Midwest. Each month we invite speakers who either have a military background or expertise in military matters. Our guest speakers have included:
Lt. Col Richard E. Cole, Co-pilot to Jimmy Doolittle, who dropped the first bomb over Japan
Hershel "Woody" Williams, WWII Medal of Honor Recipient, Battle of Iwo Jima
Ronald E. Rosser, Korean War Medal of Honor Recipient
Former IndianaGovernor Whitcomb, who was captured at Corregidor and escaped
Allen Lynch, Vietnam War Medal of Honor Recipient
General Paul Tibbets, who dropped the atomic bomb on Japan
George Gay, the only survivor from Torpedo 8 Squadron at the Battle of Midway
Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, former Marine who presented WWII medals to our WWII members
