A celebration to recognize a founding member of the American Legion, Alvin C. York, who was a Medal of Honor recipient in WWI. His grandson, Ronnie York is a member of Post 252 and was joined by his brother and cousin to discuss their famous Grandfather.
Also, the birthday celebration of the American Legion which was established on March 15,1919

Peter MacDonald, Sr. (Diné [Navajo]), USMC, one of the last surviving Navajo Code Talkers, and Laura Tohe (Diné), a Navajo Nation poet laureate and author of Code Talker Stories, spoke about the code talkers, their service in World War II and their legacy on March 26, 2024 at Eiteljorg Museum, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Also, Laura Tohe (Diné) talked about her experiences speaking and collecting oral histories from several of the Navajo Code Talkers in preparation for her book.
