The Ernie Pyle World War II Museum is located in the west-central Indiana town of Dana, Indiana, near where Ernie grew up. Through the efforts of the Indiana Department of the American Legion and a sizable contribution from the  Eli Lilly Foundation, the Historic House was moved from it's rural site to it's present location. It became a state historic site in July 1976.
